Vote Policy Over Personality in 2020

Personality: the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character.

Policy: a course or principle of action adopted or proposed by a government, party, business, or individual.

We are diving head first into the next Presidential election campaign season, are you ready for the onslaught of propaganda attack ads? I’m sick and tired of all the bull shit propaganda.

STOP TELLING ME WHO I’M SUPPOSED TO HATE!

Let’s face it people, all of the candidates I see that are currently in the Presidential race for 2020 are ethical failures, every one of them are lying to us in some way. If you truly think that any of them are ethical human beings telling you the whole truth then the wool has been pulled over your eyes.

If I’m forced to vote for an unethical person no matter who’s on the ballot then I might as well choose the unethical human failure that shares the same policy goals that I support because the policy goals are what shapes the political direction the country will head. I’m going to make a personal list of all the social and political issues that are the most important to me and note all of the future policy goals that I’d like to see achieved in the following four years and, barring something unforeseen, I’m going to vote on those issues alone. I’m going to listen to the candidates themselves, all of them, and see if their social and political goals align with mine. I’m not completely setting ethics aside, I’m just prioritizing them down the list because I think all of the candidates are unethical political assholes.

There are going to be attack ads in our faces prodding us to hate and vote against the other candidate(s); however, I am making a personal commitment to myself that I REFUSE TO CAST MY VOTE AGAINST SOMEONE, I AM GOING TO VOTE FOR SOMETHING! If you don’t like who I choose to vote for then the golden rule applies; I won’t hold it against you if you don’t hold it against me. Furthermore; if all you can do is vote against someone in 2020 because you are consumed by hate then you really need to reevaluate your own ethics and morals.

I’d like to make a suggestion, better yet, I want to challenge you; please make a personal vow to yourself like I have to cast your 2020 vote for the President of the United States of America based on policy and not on personality no matter what the attack dog propaganda is asking you to do.

It’s important to think critically not emotionally!
